You may even be allowed to go right to the edge of a 2000 degree F molten lava flow.

What to Know
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays
Pick up from the Hilo Airport or Hilo area hotels between 8:30am and 8:45am
Return approximately between 5:00pm and 6:00pm
Please bring: a light sweater or jacket for the volcano area and closed toe walking shoes.
Lunch: No-host lunch at a local restaurant.
Important: As we cannot predict weather and lava viewing conditions, tour features can change daily. We do not guarantee the sighting of active lava flows. Surface lava may be present but many not be visible due to environmental conditions or time constraints. We suggest wearing sturdy, closed toe walking shoes as this tour involves hiking over rough, uneven lava surfaces. Not recommended for those with asthma or other respiratory problems.
