This Pacific Whale Foundation Eco-Tour will take you from Maalaea
on Maui to snorkel Molokini island and Turtle Arches.
Molokini Marine Preserve is a mid-sea oasis, one of Hawaii's best snorkel
locations. Ancient volcanic activity has left a large crescent shaped island
off of Maui that is the perfect attraction for sea-life. Researchers have
documented more than 250 species of fish living here! Snorkel this famous
reef with our experienced marine naturalists. Our tour includes a second snorkel
location -- Turtle Arches, home to underwater lava arches where green sea
turtles swim and play! Don't miss this fantastic adventure.
The Pacific Whale foundation is dedicated to promoting appreciation, understanding
and protection of whales, dolphins, coral reefs and our planet's oceans. They
support and conduct responsible marine research and address marine conservation
issues in Hawaii and the Pacific. Through educational ecotours, the Pacific
Whale Foundation models and promotes sound ecotourism practices and responsible
wildlife watching.
This tour includes breakfast, BBQ lunch and ice-cold refreshments. Wetsuit rentals and souvenirs available.
What to know
Check in: 6:15am at Pacific Whale Foundation's Ocean Store at The Harbor Shops at Ma'alaea. (Free parking)
Departs: 7:00am
Returns: 12:00 noon
Vessel: Ocean Odyssey is our 65 foot ultra smooth double deck catamaran equipped with a new water slide. Departs at 7:00am.
Breakfast: Tropical Fruits, pastries (baked fresh daily), island fruit juices and hot Kona or Maui coffee.
BBQ lunch:For the early morning cruise. Grilled chicken, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, served on rolls with lettuce, tomato, sprouts and condiment, pus pasta salad and chips.
Deli lunch: For the morning cruise. Build your own turkey, ham or cheese sub, pasta salad and chips.
Refreshments: are ice cold sodas and juice plus beer, wine and Mai Tais.
Includes: Snorkel gear, "learn to snorkel" class for beginners, guided reef tour led by naturalists, Jr. Naturalist program for kids, color guide and marine wildlife poster for your party.
Kids ages 6 & under go free (one free child per paying adult). Indicate the number of additional children (0-6) and children ages 7-12 below.
The first 3 alcoholic drinks are free, more will be available for purchase. This applies only to the Ocean Odyssey; the Ocean Intrique does not serve alcohol.
