North Shore Shark Adventures is Hawaii's original shark cage tour. With 8 years of experience we have taken thousands of visitors and locals to enjoy and observe Hawaii's sharks in their natural environment. Watch as these majestic creatures rise from 500 feet of water to greet you. This life-changing experience will alter the way you think about sharks as you observe their behavior, dramatically different as portrayed in popular media. This thrilling adventure is perfect for naturalists and thrill seekers alike.
Safety and comfort are our primary concerns. We limit our shark tours to 10 people per tour to ensure you have the most comfortable experience and plenty of room in the safety cage. We will not go out in weather that is dangerous. We are Coast Guard compliant and have a spotless safety record. Our experienced Captains and knowledgeable crew members make sure that you have the best possible experience on your shark dive. We guarantee shark sightings!
North Shore Shark Adventures works closely with the Department of Land and Natural Resources and Marine research organizations in tagging and monitoring sharks and shark behavior. We have hosted dozens of media outlets including The Discovery Channel, BBC, National Geographic, ESPN and a variety of local and foreign stations and magazines.
We also engage in a variety of local community services such as Graffiti Busters and sponsoring a Marine Science program at Wailua High School.
Tour Information
We have three 32' Anderson boats with a 310 D6 Volvo Diesel motor specially designed for this tour.
Ten passengers per tour. The cage itself, can hold four people very comfortably, however, we have had up to six people in it at a time, depending on the weather conditions. The cage also features 2 large plexiglas windows for a perfect photo opportunity. We travel offshore of Haleiwa approximately 3 to 4 miles. People are encouraged to bring underwater cameras because they will be able to get some of the best photographs of Hawaiian sharks possible anywhere. We also offer a DVD for an additional $60.
The size of the sharks range from 5 feet to 15 feet. These sharks will be only inches away from the cage and those inside. You may stay as long as you want in the cage to enjoy the spectacular view.
While on this tour, you will have the opportunity to also see Hawaiian Green Sea turtles, dolphins and humpback whales,depending on the season.
All tours start with a safety briefing.
Tour Times: 7:00am, 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm (later tours weather permitting: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm)
(6am tour also available in Summer months of June - September)

Bring: Swimsuit, Sunscreen, light jacket, towel, underwater camera.
Snorkel gear will be provided.
If you tend towards sea or motion sickness, please take something for it an hour before your activity begins.
Petting the sharks or swimming outside the cage is strictly prohibited.
Military and Kamaaina rates available with ID.
ID must be provided to boat crew on day of the tour or they will charge the difference of the full retail price.
