Self-Guided Kayak & Snorkel Discovery (4 hours)
This Self-Guided Tour is designed for the independent adventurer looking for new discoveries in Kailua’s unspoiled pristine waters and beaches. Reef-protected Kailua Bay provides a safe environment for the beginner and advanced alike. A comprehensive video briefing, weather updates and instructions given by our experienced staff prepares our guest for a unique day in Kailua Bay. Not far down the beach from Flat Island is a spot inhabited by the protected Green Sea Turtles. There are often several encounters on each trip. Green Sea Turtles are a threatened species, and seeing them is a very special experience. Snorkel gear is provided to explore amongst the Kailua coral heads. Visit your choice of several offshore islands, sanctuaries and beaches and find solitude exploring at your pace. Find a spot to eat lunch and take a swim or snorkel at your leisure.
Includes: Video briefing, One or Two-person Ocean Kayak, life jacket, comfort pro kayak seat, secure lockers – 12″ x 12″ x 17″, lunch*, Transportation from/to Waikiki, snorkeling mask, snorkel, and fins. Dry bag & Morey Boogie Board available for rental.
Conditions: All participants must be able to swim. Participants ages 8-16 years must ride in a double kayak with a parent or guardian. All Participants under 18years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. One Child per one Adult.

Enjoy the sea and surf by kayaking and boogie boarding Kailua Bay. This tour is designed for the adventurer and wave rider looking for new discoveries in Kailua’s unspoiled, pristine waters and beaches. Reef-protected Kailua Bay provides a safe environment for the beginner and advanced alike. A video briefing and instructions given by our experienced staff prepares our guest kayakers and boogie-boarders for a unique day at Kailua Bay and Lanikai Beach. Begin the day kayaking to Popo’ia Island. On the way keep a close eye out for the protected Green Sea Turtles. There are often several encounters on each trip. Green sea turtles are a threatened species, and seeing them is a very special experience. Visit your choice of several offshore islands, sanctuaries and beaches and find solitude exploring at your pace. Find a spot to sunbath or take a swim at your leisure. Afterward there is time to head out for some fun in the surf. Boogie-boarding is a favorite at the North end of the beach where the shore break forms a perfect wave. Great for both adults and kids to enjoy the surf.

Please bring: Swimsuits, towels, water/beach shoes, sunscreen, camera, hat.

Choose from pizza, calzone or Hawaiian plate lunch. Pizza and calzones are made to order in the Beach Center at Bob’s Pizzeria. Our plate lunches are made to order at K&K BBQ where guests will find inside and outside seating.
Pizza/Calzones
A variety of handmade, thin crust, Boston style pizzas and calzones are made available including two (2) vegetarian options. Pizza topping and calzones will include a variety of the following fresh ingredients: Pepperoni, sausage, spinach, cheese, garlic, tomato, mushrooms, black olives, onions, broccoli, ham, pineapple. A fountain drink (coke, diet coke, sprite, fruit punch) will also be provided.

From Waikiki take Kapahulu Avenue onto H-1 West.
After 3 miles, take the Pali Highway exit (Highway 61) and proceed to Kailua Town.
In Kailua, turn right after the fire station on Kainalu Drive.
Turn left onto Kailua Road.
Kailua Beach Center is on the left side 1/4 mile down the road.
