The Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawai'i is an active volcano that is constantly changing. Our qualified tour guides will bring you to Pele's rive of fire. On this 6-8 mile hike you can feel the heat under your feet, hear the cracking of the lava and see the lava at the surface outbreaks .
It is important to remember that the Lava Hike at this time is a moderate-advanced hike where you will hike over lava cracks and under fallen trees, with rough lava terrain, muddy jungle conditions and hiking up steep grades.
We do not recommend this hike for children under 8 or anyone with recent foot/leg injuries or any other health problems that could aggravated by the rigorous hike.
Groups are small (under 10 people per guide) but for larger groups multiple guides can be assigned to assist groups of any size.
