Did you know dolphins have been man’s friend and shared a special bond with humans for as long as we have written histories? In the Dolphin Encounter get up close and interact with the dolphins yourself experiencing firsthand their friendliness. The word “dolphin” itself is an ancient Greek word meaning “brother of the sea”. It is easy to see how these intelligent mammals of the sea earned such a name as they share their intelligent friendliness with everyone here. This package gives you the chance to interact with dolphins on a family friendly level from ages 3 years and older. It is created for your comfort in the water. You will stand on a waist-deep platform and be able to caress and kiss the dolphins and watch them perform their stunning tricks.
Cameras and other items that may potentially get lost in the pool and harm the animals or their habitat are not allowed in the pool for your activity. However, family and friends may watch and take photos from outside the pool. Also weather permitting professional Photographers are onsite and sell packages.

What to Know
Daily
Check in: 45 minutes before activity.
Activity times: 10:15am, 11:45am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm
The program lasts 45 minutes and includes a brief orientation.
Maximum amount of participants per a session is 12-16.
Bring: Full body Swim suit or rash guard and a towel.
Included: General park admission, round-trip transportation to & from Waikiki, and a $10.00 credit at any of our gift shops. Lockers are available to rent and there are rinse off showers available for participants. Biodegradable sunscreen is available to participants.
Transportation: Transportation to & from Waikiki is included in the price of your package. If you would like round-trip transportation from Waikiki just select the free transportation and let us know in a comment box where you will be staying in Waikiki, so that we can get you a correct pick up location. There are two morning Pick Up times from Waikiki and two afternoon return transportation times. First pick up is in the 8:00am hour and the second morning pick up is in the 11:00am hour. The first return transportation to Waikiki leaves the park at 2:30pm and the second at 4:30pm.
RESTRICTIONS & GUIDELINES
The use of safety vests is required in all our Sea Life Park Hawaii water programs
Please note that the minimum age to participate in this activity is 3 years.
Children from 3 to 12 years old can only participate with a paying and participating adult (per child) as a companion.
Accompanying paying adult for children 3-12 yrs must be 18 yrs and older
One Adult is required per each participating child 3-12 yrs
If children are 12 years old and over, they may swim on their own during the Dolphin Encounter program.
Please Use: only biodegradable sun-lotion to protect the animals and their habitat.
No pregnant women allowed to participate in this activity.
Must be able to get in and out of the water on your own and be in good physical condition.
No jewelry, implanted jewelry, Sunglasses, hair-clips, cameras or anything that could potentially fall off is allowed in the interactive programs. All jewelry must be removed prior to getting in the water. If you have jewelry that can not be removed, you will not be able to participate in the programs. There are no refunds for those who can not remove their jewelry.
NO Nail Art that may be dislodged in the pools and harm the animals like limestones are permitted in the pool. Nail length may not exceed 25% of the width of your nail. Nails must be blunt and not end in a point. Any participant that does not meet nail requirements may not be able to participate. There are no refunds within 48hrs of your activity. Thus if on the day of your activity you can not remove a prohibited item, you will not be allowed to participate and you can not receive a refund.

All Special Needs (physical challenges, mental challenges and handicaps) participants need to be pre-approved by the trainers and Park a minimum of 2 days prior to your event. Please contact us in advance so that we can do our best to make accommodations.

From Waikiki:
- Take H1 East.
- H1 becomes Highway 72, continue east through residential area.
- Residential area will end, continue driving along the coast past Hanauma Bay, the Blow Hole and Sandy Beach, to Makapu’u Point.
- Park will be on the left side of the road, large sign by highway entrance.

Sea Life Park also has several Gift Shops and the Beach Boy Lanai where you can get a refreshing drink or Lunch.
Also please note that Children 17yrs and younger can not attend the Park without an accompanying adult.
