If you are visiting the island of Maui, this is the scuba tour to take! This spectacular 2-Tank boat dive will take you early in the morning from the island of Maui across the channel to the smaller and cliff encircled island of Lanai. You will get the opportunity to explore two pristine and beautiful dive locations along the coastline of Maui. The charter departs from Mala Wharf out of Lahaina early in the morning and traverses the choppy channel waters between Maui & Lanai bringing you to Lanai’s coastline known for its cliffs, swim-throughs, archways, lava structures, and the famous Cathedral Dives. Lanai has over 40 dives sites to choose from with pristine conditions, stunning awe-mazing underwater topography and geology, and that are swimming full of life! Lanai’s lava tubes and Cathedral cliff walls make the topography an amazing underwater dive site and sight.

This Boat Dive tour is a 2-tank dive. You will get the opportunity to do a 1-tank dive at two of Lanai’s 40 dive locations. We often are able dive the first and second Cathedral. The sites we dive at Lanai will depend on the ocean conditions and weather. Most of our dive trips at Lanai are at about a depth of 50′-80′. Non-Scuba certified guests may accompany a certified diver on the boat and snorkel at the various sites. We do keep our Lanai boat tours to a maximum of 11 persons onboard, making these trips and dives very personal and the guide to diver ratio the best! The diving is so beautiful and there is so much to see diving off Lanai’s coast that you may find yourself coming back again. Bring along your log book too, so we can stamp it!

This is a very memorable dive experience with excellent local guides and a company who knows the island, sea life, and dive areas very well. We are a very environmentally conscious and friendly company we know much about the behaviour of the animals here and we try to keep their home clean. We are one of just a few companies that operate 100% on locally sourced Biodiesel which reduced our carbon footprint by 83%. We also offer trash clean up dives and have installed several moorings on Lanai to protect the reefs from anchors damaging them. You are in great hands on this dive and our boat dive group sizes are maxed out at 11 with a minimum of 4. Minimum age for divers and tour is 12yrs old. You will need to be scuba certified for this dive. To complete your order we will need to know the names, weights, height, scuba qualification, and if you are requesting any special tanks or air. Location: Check In at the Mala Boat Ramp,

Mala Wharf Road, Lahaina 96761

(Turn off Front St. heading towards the ocean on Mala Wharf Rd. You will see the boat in the harbor. The turn off of Front St to Mala Wharf Rd is right next to the church with the sign that says “Jesus Coming soon”.)

Parking: Is free at the Mala Boat Ramp. Don’t park in the Boat parking stalls. Do not leave valuables locked in vehicle while on vacation.

Vessel: ‘Extended Horizons II’ is a 36″ Aluminum hull custom dive boat.

Maximum of 12 passengers onboard, 11 Divers and 1 snorkeler.

Must be 12yrsold+

There is a marine head onboard & a public restroom at the boat ramp.

Fresh Water onboard to rinse gear.

Return to Harbor: Return to the Mala Boat Ramp

Morning Tour ~12:15pm

Scuba Gear:

Our wetsuits are 5mm long sleeve shorties.

Scuba gear is top of the line, quality, and newer Aqualung & Mares BC’s, oceanic Regulators with depth pressure consul and and octopus. we do have microprene hoods. Dive computers are standards and included in the rental gear set.

If ordering our DIN tanks, or Nitrox 32% blend, or Steel Tanks aka 100’s (we advice for those 210lbs+) please give us a minimum of 48hrs notice.

Please Bring: Voucher, Scuba Certification Card (PADI or SDI), swimwear, biodegradable reef-safe sunscreen! (no aerosol spray sunscreens on the boat please! They blow in everyone’s face and get all over the boat.), Towels, water for after your dive. You can bring your own water proof camera

 

Price Includes: 2-Tank Dive, Guides, fins, mask, weights, tanks, and a light breakfast between dives.

Gear Rental Available: includes a dive computer, wet suit, BCD, and regulator.

Nitrox 32% is also available for purchase

Sometimes digital photo packages are available.

Restrictions & Guidelines:

Must be Scuba Certified for this tour.

Need to be able to maintain proper buoyancy during your dive.

Must be a Minimum Age of 12yrs.

Children 12-18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

For your own safety Do not fly within 24 hours before or after Scuba diving.

You must complete a PADI Experience Programs Medical Statement/Questionnaire, which includes a medical history section, to participate in scuba diving.

If you are a minor, you must have the medical questionnaire signed by a parent or guardian.

 

Safety Guidelines:

Scuba diving is an exciting and demanding activity. When performed correctly, applying correct techniques, it is safe. When established safety procedures are not followed, however, there are dangers. To scuba dive safely, you must not be extremely overweight or out of condition. Diving can be strenuous under certain conditions. Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health. All body air spaces must be normal and healthy. A person with heart trouble, a current cold or congestion, epilepsy, asthma, a severe medical problem, or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, should not dive. If taking medication, consult your doctor before scuba diving.

Please review this Medical Questionnaire to see if you are able to dive with us. If you answer YES to any question on the medical portion, you must bring a doctor’s note stating that you are fit to dive.
