SPECIAL OCCASION LEIS In the Hawaiian Islands, people mark Special Occasions in their life, by adorning them with a special lei. That is because a lei not only is a beautiful piece of art to look at with the eye, or smell with the nose, but is a beautiful art of meaning, giving, and time. Making a lei is a process, and not a simple feat quickly accomplished. Lei making is an art form with steps and processes and like needlework takes time and precision to accomplish. First one must decide on a design and medium like flowers, shells, seeds, nuts, feathers, and even teeth of animals. Then one must go collect and gather those flowers, nuts, shells etc which will take quite a bit of time. Some traditional Hawaiian leis take a thousand blooms to make a single lei! (Keep that in mind if you are on Oahu during the Kamehameha Day Parade when the Island royalties are presented on their mounts.)
After gathering enough flowers, nuts, shells, seeds etc one must then spend the time to create the lei petal by petal or shell by shell until the lei is long enough to go over your head. When someone is gifted a lei it is not only a gift of physical beauty to adorn them, but a Lei is also beautiful gift of meaning as it is instilled with the maker & givers time, effort, and love.

Lei Options
Standard Lei Options: A single strand of Dendrobium Orchids, Plumeria Flowers (seasonal), a Kukui Nut Lei, a braided Ti Leaf Lei, or a single strand Tuberose & Orchid lei. Any of these options can be selected from below. Prices vary by Lei type.Available to All Islands: Oahu/Maui/Kauai/Big Island via pick up or delivery.
Deluxe Lei Options: Our Deluxe leis include our most lavish leis. The first is the Deluxe Orchid Option which is a triple strand of Purple Dendrobium Orchids. Our next option is the Deluxe Kukui Nut Lei which is a very masculine & elegant mix of polished Kukui Nuts interspersed by Mongo Seashells & Hawaiian greenery of Ficus or Ti Leaf. our third deluxe option is the Deluxe Tuberose which is a double strand arrangement of vibrant Purple Dendrobium Orchids and the fragrant Hawaiian Tuberose flower. Our final deluxe Lei option is the Deluxe Cigar Lei. The Deluxe Cigar Lei is a vibrant eye catcher that is also fragrance-free made with the tubular Cigar Flower blossoms the color ranges from a yellow-orange to orange-red. Hawaiian Snacks Gift Basket is an assortment of edible Hawaiian treats that come in a reusable woven box. The box is woven out of the leaves of the Lauhala tree (this is an all natural product). And inside the box is Pineapple Coconut Balls, Macadamia Nut Cookies, Ginger Wafer Cookies, Original WunTun Strips and an Original Puff Rice Cake.
Plumeria Gift Box is our second Hawaiian themed gift box option. This treat also comes inside a reusable handwoven Luahala gift box. Inside you will find an assortment of sweet perfumed goodies made right here in the State of Hawaii. Each Honeymoon Lei Special comes with a pair of 2 leis (for couples).
Traditional Honeymoon Special is a beautiful treat. It includes one lavish Deluxe triple-strand Dendrobium Orchid Lei traditionally for the bride. The Groom’s Lei is an open end Ti Leaf lei entwined with a Purple Dendrobium Orchid twist. A very visually stunning lei combination for a special occasion!

WEDDING LEI OPTIONS
Very popular for grooms and traditional is the open-ended braided Ti leaf Lei. This can be by itself or entwined with other lei strands. The first wedding lei we suggest is the simple braided Ti Leaf Lei which you can find below.
Maile-Style Ti Leaf Lei. The next option after the simple Ti Leaf Lei is the Maile-Style Ti Leaf Lei. This is a fuller ti leaf lei that mimics the look of a traditional Maile lei. (Prices increase the more complex, involved, and intricate a lei becomes.)
White Orchid Lei Another first option we suggest looking at for Brides or Grooms is the single-strand pure white Dendrobium Orchid Lei .
Pikake Lei Another wonderful flower Lei option for weddings is the Pikake Lei. It is made of Pikake flowers, a very fragile and fleeting but beautifully perfumed flower. This flower has been a favorite locally for over a hundred years. This can be made into a rope style or triple strand Lei. please note it takes about a thousand blooms to create this lei and of all our flowers it is the most extremely perishable. These flowers are also seasonal, only available in the dry Summer months. Because of all these factors these leis are usually reserved for special occasions and often worn by brides in wedding ceremonies.
Traditional Maile Lei is also another excellent choice. This is the traditional Hawaiian wedding lei for grooms. Made of two intertwining beautiful and fragrant Maile vines. This is an open-style lei.
Maile with Flowers the Maile lei can also be upgraded to add the flower of your choice, White Orchids or the fragrant Tuberose.
HAKU LEI The Haku Lei is a very different type of Lei, it is a flower crown worn across the forehead. Haku Leis can be ordered in All White or a Color of your choice.
WEDDING LEI SETS
WEDDING LEI SET For Lei Sets for the Bride & Groom we offer two different options. The first is the WEDDING LEI SET which includes one Double White Dendrobium Orchid Lei paired with an open braided Ti Leaf Lei entwined with a White Orchid strand.
HAKU WEDDING SET The second set is the HAKU WEDDING SET. This includes a White Haku paired with a Maile-Style Ti Leaf Lei and a White Orchid single-strand.
Wedding Party Special If you are looking for leis for the wedding party this is an excellent choice. It includes 5 White or Purple Orchid Leis and 5 Ti Leaf Leis.
OTHER WEDDING PRODUCTS
Hawaiian Orchid Wedding Bouquet this is a french round wedding bouquet is made in all White Dendrobium Orchids with baby’s Breath and Hawaiian Greenery. This bouquet can be made in White or a color of your choice. If you would like a different color please let us know in our comment box.
Hawaiian Cascading Wedding Bouquet this bouquet is made out of Cymbidium Orchids with petite White Dendrobium Orchid sprays and Hawaiian Greenery. The bouquet can be all White or a color of your choice. If you would like a different color please let us know in the comment box.
Hawaiian Flower Hairpeice these can be made of White Orchids or a color of your choice. This piece is attached with bobby pins. If you would prefer we attach a clip or a different color please let us know in the comment box.
Hawaiian Corsage Is made in White Orchids and Baby’s Breath. This is a pin corsage. If you would like to customize your corsage please let us know in the comments box.
Hawaiian Boutonnieremade to order our boutonniere is an excellent choice for the groom and groomsmen or perhaps for the prom or other formal event. They can be custom made but typically are made of White Dendrobium Orchids, Baby’s Breath, and Hawaiian Greenery. To customize your color or order please leave notes in the comment box.
Loose ORCHIDs our last additional Wedding option is a box of 100 loose orchids for decoration at your special event. You can order a box of loose orchids in White, Green, Purple, Lavendar, or a colorful Mix.
Available additional Orchid Color options for the category of Other Wedding Products and Haku Leis are White, Green, Purple, Lavendar, or a colorful Mix. Any other custom color orders need to be made in advance.
~DELIVERY OPTIONS & Instructions~
For Destination WEDDING LEIS, Graduation Leis or other Special Occasion leis,
There are three options to getting your leis.
Pick Up: Leis can be picked up on the Island of Oahu in our Honolulu Store on Koapaka St. at no additional cost to your total.
Local Honolulu Hand Delivery: This option is available MONDAY-SATURDAY in the area (ZIP) codes of 96701, 96782, 96813, 96814, 96815, 96817, 96819, 96826, & 96850. This option has One delivery Fee for the entire order! Complimentary memos can be included with order. This option will be delivered no later than 5pm. Store Business Hours are 8am-5pm. Orders need to be placed a minimum of 3 days prior to event.
Priority Hawaii Statewide Delivery:
This option is available TUESDAYS-FRIDAYS to all Hawaii locations! We do not ship to P.O.Boxes as we try to keep our products as fresh as possible. Delivery orders need to be placed a minimum of 3 days prior to the desired delivery date so that we can have them prepared and sent on time. Complimentary gift messages can be sent with your packing slip.
We Ship Fed-Ex Priority Overnight. FedEx is the fastest way we have found for shipping getting our leis there hours before other shipping methods which is very important for keeping your lei & gift fresh for your event!
There is one rate for mailing your entire order priority within Hawaii.
(FedEx does not operate on Sundays, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.) If you need your lei on a Sunday or Holiday, make sure to place your order to arrive a day earlier.
Packaging: Your Hawaiian Lei will be packaged in our exclusive Lei Cooler with careful packing to help ensure your lei arrives fresh and beautiful for your special day or event.
When to Place your Lei Order:
It is never too early to place your Lei order whether you are picking it up, having an Airport Greeting, having it Hand Delivered, or sent Priority Mail. For Special Occasion orders it is best to place your order at least a week in advance. A minimum of three days prior is mandatory for special occasion orders. If you are customizing anything in your order or have a large order, please place at least a week in advance. Fed-Ex Priority Mail within Hawaii is our fastest option.
Lei Etiquette Lei giving is a regular part of any special occasion in the Hawaiian Islands; birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, promotions and more. There are very few tacit rules about wearing a lei. One can wear a lei at anytime for no particular reason. Receiving a lei is a welcomed celebration of affection. One should always accept a lei if given one as it is a gift of affection. It is considered rude to remove a lei from your neck in the presence of the person that gave it to you. The proper way to wear a lei is gently draped on the shoulder hanging both in front and in back.
