Description
Dreaming of swimming with real dolphins? Well now is your chance! Swim with wild dolphins in the warm clear waters of Kona, Hawaii. The Dolphin Dreaming tour gets you snorkeling with wild dolphins. We limit this tour to 12 passengers maximum!
The most common dolphin in Hawaiian waters is the Hawaiian Spinner Dolphin. They get their name from how they launch themselves out of the water into the air doing amazing spins and flips. Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are the size of an average person, females are about 5ft in length and weigh about $150.00. Male Spinner dolphins weigh about 170 lbs. Dolphins are highly evolved species capable of complex social structures, they are very intelligent and social mammals and develop intricate social bonds with each other. Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are smaller in size than many other Dolphin species and are the most likely to be seen close to Hawaii’s coast lines in the mornings. Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins can be found pods of 20 to mega pods of 300 Dolphins! these Dolphins feed during the night and return to shore to rest in pods. Even though they are resting dolphins still are swimming and extremely social and interactive. They are very curious and it is a thrill to be near them in the water. Swimming with live dolphins is quite an enlightening experience.
On this cruise we will tour the gorgeous Kona Coast looking for pods of wild dolphins. Everyone on the boat will receive some instruction on how to swim with the Dolphins. When we find the pod, you will enter the water accompanied by your swim guide, to swim, snorkel and observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Your guide will also take complimentary photos of you with the Dolphin.
Hawaii Oceanic is an eco-minded company, and the Dolphin’s well being is always our first priority. We are in their home and always treat them with the utmost respect.
